Since we moved in, Micah and I have been sleeping ghetto style (a mattress on the floor). We had the tremendous blessing of have a frame sent to us! Yay :)! It's a beautiful white canopy bed, with blue/grey leather on the head board.
This is what showed up..

It was so tall that it wouldn't even fit in our garage!
We bribed Jared with dinner in exchange for helping us get the packaging apart and carrying it upstairs. That thing was impressively heavy!
We were so excited to get it put together! But simply putting it together would be to easy, not only did we forget to buy slats to go underneith it... But the room that we're staying in is to small! The frame has a beautiful four post canopy that goes across, right where our celing fan is...

We're not quite sure what to do now, do we: A) Not put the canopy on and not use the fan, B) Put the canopy on and not use the fan, C) Buy a normal light to replace the fan (We of course would ask permission from the Hecklers first), D) Continue to sleep on a mattress on the floor.
It really is gorgeous bed, we are so happy to have it!

Aaaaah, Stephanie darn it! Well, huh. It is beautiful, next house maybe things will fit better. In the mean time.....slats yup slats thats a first... fan?? Can't help you there.
If it is like the other Oly bed I have seen, the slats are unusual. Study it carefully before you get what you think will be slats.
Love you,
LaVar
I'd say replace the fan with a light. My parents once had that problem in a spare bedroom- they had to tape the switch on the wall and all kinds of other craziness because somehow the fan would get turned on (even though they were the only ones living there). Great bed, though.
